October Currently

October already!?

Not that I'm complaining... but September flew by!

I am finally getting back into the swing of teaching and blogging and have lots of new ideas to share :)  But today I'm linking up with Farley at Oh' Boy 4th Grade for the October Currently!

Listening:

I'm never listening to anything while I write my Currently's so I am sharing songs I am loving this month instead!

Good For You by Selena Gomez feat. Rocky: My boyfriend sang this song last weekend and ever since then it's been stuck in my head!! I've been singing this one while I staple bulletin board borders! haha

Cheyenne by Jason Derulo: If you see a girl driving down the street in an orange Chevrolet Sonic singing at the top of her lungs... it is probably me and I am probably singing this song lol 

and of course I am still in love with everything Ed Sheeran!

Loving: My New Shoes

My boyfriend bought me these shoes from J.Crew for my birthday and I am in love! The picture does not do them justice.  They are super sparkly especially in the sun but they are a mix of gold and silver so they go with everything! They were also super comfortable right out of the box! I have a hard time finding comfortable flats for my wide feet so I am so happy with these! I might just get them in other colours like black, rhubarb and desert pink!

Thinking: I need to collect books, videos etc. to start our apple/space/animal inquiries!

Although we try to start inquiries organically when possible we were having a difficult time uncovering wonderings from their play this year.  So I pulled each student aside and we talked about what we wondered about... and they came up with some cool wonderings! 

From this three general themes arose: apples, space and what animals eat.  We are going to try investigating all three simultaneously and see where it will take us!

Needing: A New Eyeliner

I recently stayed in a hotel and left my favourite eyeliner (Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner) there by accident :( I've been using just my pencil liner for now but I'm hoping to get a new eyeliner next time I can get to the mall! 

I had black before but I'm thinking about getting brown this time so that it is more everyday friendly!

Boo-tiful: I feel boo-tiful when I wear make-up and my hair down!

When I'm working I almost always wear my hair in a ponytail so my kinders are always surprised the first time they see me with my hair down and my co-workers always ask what I'm doing after school if my hair is down :P 

I also definitely feel a million times more boo-tiful with make-up on!
